With courses tailored for athletic performance and recovery, Shoko has worked as the personal massage therapist for renowned teams, including the New York Yankees and Tokyo Giants. She now serves a loyal clientele of local athletes, including Dr. Abby Otto, a recent champion at the Honolulu Triathlon in the her division. Dr. Otto states, “Shoko’s massages are integral to my training routine!” She also enjoys working with local male athletes, who appreciate her expertise and personalized approach.

Shoko offers specialized care that integrates her knowledge of anatomy and physiology to address specific medical conditions.

During her 10 years at a rehabilitation hospital in Fukuoka Japan Shoko provided therapeutic support for patients recovering from various injuries, including major vehicle collision injuries. She prepared patients for surgery by using manipulation medical massage techniques and aided their recovery post-surgery, focusing on healing and rehabilitation within the Orthopaedic and Neurology Centre.

Trained by the esteemed Aunty Margaret Machado on the Big Island at Kee’i Beach, Shoko has deepened her understanding of this traditional Hawaiian practice. Aunty Margaret is renowned for her role in preserving and teaching Lomi Lomi, emphasizing its holistic approach to wellness.

Shoko’s education includes comprehensive training from esteemed Japanese and Chinese instructors, covering techniques such as meridian therapy, acupoint stimulation, and Shiatsu adjustments.
